KIVA
About what i read , i can see people who need someone who can help them, a way to make their dreams come true, also those women are people that want to have a better life, people who try to find solutions, hard workers, people who want to show results, making a difference and doing important things in their families' life. It's difficult to have an answer but i think that i would lend money to Martha, i don't know exactly the reason, but when i read what said about her, i think that i can be helpful to her family and a way she can contribute to her home. It's her dream and it's happy to see that i can contribute to someone happiness.

Volleyball
When I was at school I used to play volleyball. I practiced every saturdays with my friends and we played games with different schools. Now I don't have time to practice a sport because i need to study a lot and my obligations can't let me have free time to do something that i like. It's good to see people who practice a sport because it's healthy and also make you feel relax doing something that you love.

Racism
Today I want to talk about a topic that Is affecting a larger number of people. Actually the society defines people depending the color of their skin . Afrocolombians don't have the same possibilities than white people. In the past they were defined like objects, they were seen inferior and without feelings. Actually we can see this definition don't change at all.
Afrocolombians are people like you and me. They want to have an opportunity to change the concept that most of the people have about them. They want a possibility to make a better place. So, do we have power to decide who is someome? The answer is no. People are different, for that reason we should respect others no matter who they are. We are created equals. For me The concept of superior or inferior is not true and don't exist. So make a difference and be against the racism.

MY FAVORITE
CARNIVAL MOMENT
I don`t celebrate carnivals but i had the opportunity to be invited to the Beer Festival, so I went to this concert with my boyfriend and my friends, and i think that was a excellent moment to be relax and tried to pass a good time. Also a family member went to Barranquilla because he had some business to do, so i showed him a part of our culture and how people celebrate it.

1. What do we learn about Tuareg culture from this video?
I learn about this video the Tuareg culture, we can see the different scenes where they have the opportunity to show to people importants aspects that define them. We can learn about their deserts, the way they prepare tea, also the song is about love, pain, fire and how they mix those things with making a glass of tea and i can deduce in the part they say about being a bird that those people are nomads

2. Keeping in mind what you learned from this interview, how does seeing the visuals within the video and knowing the meaning of the lyrics give us a deeper understanding of Tuareg culture?
When I saw the video i imagine most of the culture those people want to show in the song, with the lyrics and also the rhythm the songs that usually can sing in this culture. The meaning that they give to the things and how they identify with it. It`s a way they express what they feel and also how they live, manners and the way they wear.

Homework 2
1. Why was Barranquilla chosen?
I think Barranquilla was chosen capital of culture 2013 because has the requirements to get that distinction . As Barranquilleros we know that the city works harder to be involve in a lot of aspects of our culture and how people see us like a city of tradition , people define us because of our culture and it is an excelent view that people have about us.
2. Will Barranquilla receive any of the economic benefits Liverpool hoped to from being named a cultural capital?
The distinction gives to Barranquilla a lot of economic benefits but also can let us to promote Barranquilla around the world in some channels, for example Antena 3 and Discovery Networks. This opportunity permits us to show the world our culture and all the qualities that difene us. It´s a benefit that coincides with the celebration of the 200 years of the city and we can project Barranquilla to the world.

AN AMERICAN IN UGANDA
1. What different points of view do we see in this story?
We can see two different views that are:
The white man work at home and he thinks that the black man wants to bother him ( the black man), for that reason the white man can`t concentrate in the activities that he does everyday. The white man look the black man with contempt and pity.
In other hand we can see the black man view, he only wants to do his job and he tries to earn money but the white man doesn't want to give him. Sometimes he doesn't care of the things that probably irritate the white man, he just want money, don't matter if the white man really accepts his attitude.
At the end those people want different things and if they want to have it, so they have to have a good attitude, communication and also they have to tolerate them.
2. Explain the reasons behind the miscommunication that occurred between these two men
We can found in this story that the miscommunication that occurred with those men happens because they don`t know anything about them. They only try to do what their cultures said about the others. For example the white culture think that the black culture is not superior, for that reason they have to accept all the things that the white people want or think. White people thinks that they have to dominate black people. We can found some different views that are separated by class, education, language and culture. They are different kinds of people, so their lives are different and run in different kinds of circles, for that things they can't see the real meaning of life and what things really matter in our society, all people are the same, no matter the color of their skin, only depends what you really want in your life and what you want to be in the future.
